Visiting the gentle Shyre™ for a Winter vacation, the party finds a changed land. The once-friendly denizens pressure visitors to attend strange ceremonies, charging fees at ev’ry turn. They all tote a bizarre grimoire, “PIENETICS” by “L. BINGO BOFFIN,” & claim ludicrous powers. What madness has gripped the Shyre™? & can ye help them break free? Test thy will by…SURVIVING HOBBITOLOGY!

Thrust your players into the chilling world of halfling cults! They’ll need to learn the lore of “Pienetics,” puzzle through their strange cult language, & resist the pressure to fall into the cult themselves!

This role-play-focused module presents endless opportunities for testing player’s wiles & wits. Clever players may attempt to join Hobbitology to attack them from the inside—but it may backfire, should they begin to find themselves believing…

In addition to maps of Hobbitology fortresses & temples, this module also includes the full text of “Pienetics,” plus 50 years of history & lore about Hobbitology & its founder, L. Bingo Boffin. How did a humble cookbook writer become the leader of a sex-magick cult? The answers await within!

As ever, our module features extensively-detailed NPCs for you to use as you see fit—this time, with incredible celebrities! Stars of the Shyre™ stage like Tom Bombacruise, Marigold Presley, & the disgraced Danwise Mastergee. When playing the module as part of an extended campaign, DMs should also bring in other NPCs from modules like “TOMB OF THE BUSINESS BRAIN” or the “SEPULCHRE OF SLOP”—for the Hobbitology cult’s tentacles extend farther & deeper than anyone may guess. Titans of industry, & mad kings, all find themselves ensnared in L. Bingo Boffin’s terrifying web!
