An Ode to Cynthia Weatherwax

I have known Cynthia for æons, under other names, in other forms—& I could scarcely imagine WizWorld without her. Every guest who graces our show, gives generously of their time & talent, & none have given so much so often as she:

The audience knows thee best as a skilled monologist,
Laughing all along as ye take news & give the gist.
But I Amoenus know thee better, from long years of acquaintance,
A much richer friendship, beyond the ways ye’ve entertained us.
Thy wit & mind unparalleled, sharpness with no easy equal,
Of thee the Universe made just one, there can be no Cynthi-Sequel.
That we cannot yet pay ye, what ye are clearly worth,
Fills me with great sorrow, enow to span the wretched Earth.
I thank ye for thy time, O Cynthia, however much ye have to spend,
& please know I do consider ye, a true & valued friend.
