Transdimensional Literacy
With reading recommendations!
PAST! PAST! PAST!
‘Twas a bright cold day in January, & the clocks were striking Thirteen—THANK YE for watching along last night! Our counterparts AMMONIA FRANCA & AUTUMNHATE read pasts, told tales, & introduced the concept of THOTCRIME (thotcrime). Cynthia & Summersbane obliterated the fashy-ion of the Inauguration (or “Inaugy” as the hepcats call it). & we hoed all the way down with literacy—if ye missed out, peruse the replay!
Just below—find the books we recommended during the show! & if ye be near Paso Robles, consider purchasing them from the Bookshop Besties themselves, at their shop Spare Time Books! & if not near Paso Robles, ye still may on their “web-site” purchase mystery book packages to be sent to thy very home! Battle Bezos—shop at shops!

SORCEROUS READING RECOMMENDATIONS
Ammonia Franca (aka Clio) recommends The Secret History, by Donna Tartt. The original “dark academia” mystery, with echoes of Greek tragedy. Perfect for anyone looking to freshen up their fiction diet!
Autumnhate (aka Carla) recommends the classic 1984, by George Orwell. The seminal work on censorship, the repression of the state, & the insidious nature of totalizing totalitarianism. Also, THOTCRIME (thotcrime)
Summersbane (aka Soren the Sorcerer, the Lich-King of the CIA) recommends Epic Homesteading, by Kevin Espiritu. Though it will not teach ye of Summersbane’s patented process for turning corpses into crops, it will lay out principles of self-sufficiency.
Amoenus Franco (aka "Wynlíc þe Hellrúna”) recommends the “Moist von Lipwig” trilogy within the Discworld series. They describe, incisively, the issues & origins of money & wealth, while still showcasing the usual Terry Pratchett fantasy & wit.
Other recommendations during the show include: Kropotkin’s Conquest of Bread, Graeber’s Debt: The First 5,000 Years, & the classic evil tome—a favorite of both Summersbane & Autumnhate—Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged. Read it at thine own risk—consume in movie form, at thine own extreme risk.
I hope ye all enjoyed our brush with our mirror-selves, mortals! Apologies for the transdimensional distortions of their sounds—it may not seem so, but coordinating communication across planar veils? ‘Tis FRAUGHT WITH DIFFICULTIES. Thankfully, the the charm & humor & lore of the Bookshop Besties shone through!
We extend our gratitude as ever to all who read our dispatches, to those who joined us in the EXTRA-DELIGHTFUL chat last night, & of course to those generous mortals who can & do support our works coinwise here in the Scriptorium.
I shall write ye Monday with fresh art & a tale—plus, on Sunday, we shall release the advertisement for the Local Book Shop! In the meantime—be safe, be well, & be A FREE BEE, BABY.
Cheers,
Amoenus Franco
