To the Vault of Rihtære!

PLUS: Clue-Riddles

Wednesday’s greetings, mortals! This Friday at 8PT, unholy Summersbane returns, & we attempt to crack the VAULT OF RIHTÆRE! A potent treasure we hear lies inside, awaiting one clever enough to fetch it. Will we finally gather the first item, to aid us on our quest for the Grail? FIND OUT WITH US, Friday at 8PT!

In my search for knowledge of this Vault, I gathered riddles which—so their possessors claimed—provide clues to how to open ‘t up. Know ye the answers to any o’these?

1— Grey bones sitting,
Eyes dim as twilight.
‘Til the voice is stirring,
Comes ‘live when the time’s right.

2— Ere iron was found or tree was hewn,
When young was mountain under Moon;
Ere stream was made, or wrought was woe,
It laughed in forests, long ago.

3— It stood upon the scaffold alone
Time & Taste both defied;
its staff was broken on the stone,
in Shogor Shogorath its wisdom died.

4— Voiceless it sits,
Starless moulders,
Creditless sighs,
Mouthless mutters.

5— Hey! Here’s merry dol! derry dol, too right sir!
Light goes the crowded wind & the sotted warbler.
Down along the river-bank, shining in the night-light,
Waiting on the doorstep for the bright ol’ star-light,
There my stalwart knight he is, old Kit-Fox’s son,
Slender as the willow-wand, fills each eve with fun.
Old laughing Bear-Son, scraps of paper bringing
Comes hopping home again. Can you hear him singing?

Thank ye for reading—& thank ye to the growing cadre of generous mortals who can & do support our works here with coin!

I hope ye shall join us Friday as we surely succeed in cracking the VAULT OF RIHTÆRE! I shall write ye again Saturday afternoon, assuming I am not o’erly-busy enjoying treasure! ‘Til then—be safe, be well, & please, ponder the riddles…

Cheers,
