The Taming of Sméagyule

Plus notes on Friday the Yuleteenth

Ho-Ho-Hoedowns

What a FANTASTIC FRIDAY THE YULETEENTH! Thank ye, mortals, for joining us on our show, & during our guest appearance over at Wisecrack! We sang, we laughed, & we helped raise much money for the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund. An honor, & a joy, to be able to help.

If ye missed last night’s show, watch the replay! & continue reading for the next part of my Yuletide Adventure

Oh! Raw fish! How…nice.

Yuletide Adventure III: Season Without a Santa
The Taming of Sméagyule

For three days, this wretched creature had followed me. A shadow dogging my every step—but friend, not fiend! He offered, in his way, to assist my quest. Sméagyule—so he called himself—loves the Yule more than anything, & Santa he reveres. He claims to have witnessed Santa’s kidnapping, & vows he shall guide me to the “Dark Master” behind this horrid Season without a Santa. He led me to his cave, & we sealed his fealty over goblets of raw fish—a treat the little fellow seems to adore.

Yet, I dare not trust him fully. When he believes himself alone—when I turn my back to prepare fishy provisions, or cast healing spells on my frost-bitten feet—I hear him muttering, & growling. Dark things spill forth from his ichor-stained lips, threats & rages. Is he in league with this “Dark Master?” Will Sméagyule turn on me, in a desperate moment? I fear ‘tis so—but what else might I do? I need a guide, & I see no other friendly faces in this icy wasteland. & so, with a sack full of fish, we set forth…

If ye need to catch up on the previous steps of my adventure, tap upon these very words! Thank ye all for reading, thank ye for joining our shows, & thank ye to all who donated to the PCRF yesterday.

We also wish to extend additional gratias again to Lux & Michael for inviting us to be part of yesterday’s Wisecrack stream. ‘Twas wondrously fun, & a delight to be able to bring our full selves to a new audience. LONG LIVE LUX & MICHAEL!

I shall write ye Monday with the next part of my Yuletide Adventure. ‘Til then, mortals—be safe, be well, & hoist a glass of happy fish for me!

Cheers,
