Season Finale + Trivia!

Prepare for the "Battle of Barad-Mûsk!"

Shadows loom on the horizon, mortals—the shadows of a SEASON FINALE! This Friday at 8PT we shall finally confront the dark master of the Elon Husks, in the terrible fortress of Barad-Mûsk! As is normal for wizard talk shows, we have MUCH LORE TO RESOLVE. Prepare for Adventure! Action! Animation! And of course, TRIVIA! Aye indeed, trivia with a special prize only for readers of the Scriptorium! ‘Tis true:

Season Finale Trivia!

This season began way back in the mists of September 2023—33 episodes ago! 33 episodes of adventure, lore, & trivia! To honor that journey, & to honor those who have joined us here in the Scriptorium, we shall present a SPECIAL PRIZE! Reply to this email (or write to “lore at WizWorldLIVE dot com”) with the answers, & among the highest-scorers, we shall randomly select a winner to receive a code for FREE STICKERS. For on Friday, we shall also unveil NEW STICKERS!

Only emailed answers received by 5PM Pacific on Friday May 17th, 2024, shall be eligible for the prize! No purchase is necessary, only TRIVIA:

  1. For our Season V premiere, “Geas of the Druids,” we unwittingly offended the spirits of the long-dead Druids. What were the terms of their geas?

  2. The 2023 Samhain special, “Sanguine Samhain,” featured the resurrection of beloved character Paddy O’Lefty the Anti-Imperialist Leprechaun. How many times has Paddy died?

  3. On “Obsidian Friday,” Cynthia Weatherwax introduced the world to the magicks of Euchre Tarot. Do ye know, which Euchre hand did Cynthia ink into her skin for all time?

  4. In “Bunker Fever,” we teamed with Slurs the Toilet (goblin) to guide Aiydenn (teen) from New York to Austin, using the dangerous subterranean tunnel system. One of the stops, betwixt the Fungi Lounge & the Orcodome, was the Drow’s Luxury. Do ye recall, what happens in the Drow’s Luxury?

  5. In that same episode, we debuted the R.A.S.P.U.T.I.N. System for surefire success. What does the “P” stand for?

  6. A few weeks ago, in “Wormtongue Combinator,” do ye recall how we passed Gríma’s test to enter Edoras?

  7. Our show features an incredible array of sponsors every week, which is how we are able to afford such extravagant giveaways. Which famous 1980s hair metal singer has featured in three of our sponsors’ wonderful advertisements?

  8. Where is the “Big French Girlfriend?”

  9. Name one episode title from “Star Trek: The Conservative Generation.”

  10. Bel-Cash-Zzar, our finance demon & captor-turned-friend, helped us celebrate this year on “A Dream of Yule.” Base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) refers to corporate tax planning strategies used by multinationals to "shift" profits from higher-tax jurisdictions to lower-tax jurisdictions or no-tax locations where there is little or no economic activity, thus "eroding" the "tax-base" of the higher-tax jurisdictions using deductible payments such as interest or royalties.1  Who was Bel-Cash-Zzar on the phone with at the start of that episode’s interview?

May Lady Luck shine upon ye, mortals! & may ye relish much in knowing that those who read this not, shall never clutch the PRIZE! Remember to reply to this email (or write to “lore at WizWorldLIVE dot com”) to enter! Please note that, unlike in the documentary Highlander, winning this prize will not confer instant & total communion with all life on Earth.

Thank ye for reading, thank ye for joining us on this season’s journey, & we shall see ye FRIDAY for the BATTLE OF BARAD-MÛSK! Bring ale, rations, & armor…

Cheers,
Amoenus Franco
