Relentless Trickery

Ho, mortals, how fare ye on this Samhain-week? The holiday looms—a day of guising, revelry, treats & tricks. It feels, though, as if trickery rules the day, in a most unpleasant way. Liars & deceivers lord o’er us all—aye, some relief to be had in Brasil & Serbia, but fraud still reigns supreme round the whole benighted world.

How, then, to enjoy the holiday? How can one trick-or-treat in an oppressive atmosphere of savage avarice? SIMPLY—seize all the treats ye may! An it harm none, then ev’ry chance ye may, SEIZE A TREAT. A trip, a break, a nap, a chocolate, a quiet full Moon, a fresh batch of croissants ye spent two days crafting—whatever it be, SEIZE IT. Ye deserve it, e’en if ye think ye deserve it not—for this world be run by demons, haunted by their boundless sins, & we shall not repair it if we all go mad of want before their defeat.
