Reflections on 200 Episodes...

Gratitude & Self-Indulgence!

Ray Wise insulted us, & ‘twas an honor

Mortals, I can scarcely express the joy I felt last night during our 200th episode celebration! Even under the shadow of Elon Husks, even amidst the many shadows looming over all of modern life, so many came together in delight! ‘Twas a ritual few wizards & artists ever complete. If ye missed out, get thee to Twitch NOW & relish in the good times!

Summersbane’s thoughts follow, below this handsome portrait of myself, SB, & our frenemy BEL-CASH-ZZAR—who seized the 200th show for himself, & laid out a grim-yet-fun vision of the financial future. Ha-ho!

Hell’s Funnest Servant!

Rarely one for sentiment, Summersbane opened his bleak, subdivided heart to our dear audience. After much flogging, I convinced him to express his feelings to a scribe as well:

It's been a wild journey. Going from a live show to a live stream and finding such a great group of people. I get to have fun every Friday with all of you and that feels truly special, especially now on our 200th show. Thank you for indulging us in a truly insane, but absolutely glorious show. — Soren S.

Do ye see, mortals, what power such an anniversary can have? Even a cannibal cannot escape the well of sentiment dug by 4 years of friendship & fun!

I say “4 years”—but that marks only the online version of the show, moved there once it became unsafe for us to interact with mortals, lest dread COVID slay the audience. The show’s first birth came in November 2018, as an in-person stage show; so 2024 marks, in truth, 6 years of WizWorld LIVE! Even wise Abramelin, master of lengthy ritual, could scarce imagine such a long-lived project. Even master Michaelangelo spent only 4 years on the Sistine ceiling!

We, of course, cannot take full credit; without our guests, without our wonderful audience, without the fans & friends & family who have believed in us, supported us, chatted with us, the WizWorld would not live. Without the ren faire patrons breathing new life into us every year, our very souls would wither. The WizWorld is more than we; it lives in all who grace our stage, or screen; in all who have joined us here in the Scriptorium, all who jest with us online. Our coven is everything, & we thank all who have ever joined us. We must also, of course, specifically & reluctantly thank my ex-wife Titania (Queen of Faerie) for using my alimony to purchase a Quemeo™ from beloved actor Ray Wise.

I shall write ye again come Monday with fresh art & adventure. We thank, fore’er, all who attended the 200th show last night, & all who contributed, & all who have ever taken part in our merrie madness. Be well, mortals; thrive; & know that we have MUCH more in store from here forward! The Elon Husks shall know our wrath…

Cheers,
Amoenus Franco
