Mage Libs! - Silly Monday Morning Fun

Our season behind us, our ren faires ahead, I thought I might send along a silliness this morning: MAGE LIBS! The wordly puzzles ye know as “Mad Libs” are, of course, merely a shadow of a more powerful artifact from a more magickal world. Reproduced here, ne’er before seen by mortal eyes, may they bring ye amusement!

For those who know not: replace the words highlighted in GREEN to produce thine own unique versions of the stories! Copy & paste the text, using a magical tablet or computing machine, to a document—or use the attached “file!” These diversions are perfect for a rainy day, or long elevator ride, or eternity trapped in a golden lamp.

Amoenus’ Adversary

Immortal wizard Amoenus Franco steps (ADVERB) through the (TYPE OF DUNGEON) dungeon. His torch sputters, a clue that he draws near to the (SICKENING ADJECTIVE) lair of the (LEAST FAVORITE DEAD RULER). Charging his wand with a (SPELL), Amoenus knows that this is his one chance to serve justice for (KIND OF CRIME COMMITTED BY CORRUPT RULERS). Amoenus screams an oath to (FORGOTTEN GOD), & blasts (ADVERB)!

Shopping with Summersbane

The horrible necromancer Soren Summersbane (SKULKING VERB)s outside the wretched storehouse known as (LARGE CHAIN STORE). He sniffs the air, catching an aroma of (UNSAVORY CORPORATE PRACTICE). “Perfect,” the necromancer whispers, to his (SCARY BIRD SPECIES) skull. He needs (THING SOLD BY LARGE CHAIN STORE), but he would not pay with money today—oh, no, no. Summersbane would pay with his (SCARY CREATURE TO SEE AS A SKELETON)-skeleton army! Onward, to savings! And to (TYPE OF HELL)!

Ritual Innovation

Looking for a new ritual? Follow Summersbane’s easy steps! First, gather up (RARE MORTAL BODY PART), sourced ethically. Second, eat two (TYPE OF DREAM)s from a (TYPE OF UNPLEASANT ADULT). Then, draw a rune-circle on the ground using (FAVORITE VARIETY OF SALT). Step inside, facing (CARDINAL DIRECTION), & recite (FOUL INCANTATION). Ta-da! Thou hast summoned (PRESIDENT NAMED NIXON). Congratulations!
