Embers of the 4th
& some more Bad Precedents

With our ape-man friend, V. Butler
Post-American greetings, mortals! I hope ye lost no digits nor limbs last night. If ye missed our delightful evening in the Fort of Zyuly, catch the replay right here!
We learned much about the Fort of Zyuly, about America, & about ourselves. Expect the commercial from our sponsor “Arcangelo Bakunin” to release in a couple of days! In the meantime, continue reading below for three more “Bad Precedents” who did not make Summersbane’s bottom 3 last night:

Paddy O’Lefty’s awful cousin, Jimbo McMerica
Bad Precedents
Dishonorable Mentions
Andrew Jackson: Not only did he fervently pursue genocide against Native Americans, Jackson was also a passionate slaver! He continued trading & purchasing human beings while in office, & all the way up until his death. He particularly loathed abolitionists, whom he considered “monsters” that should be killed, paving the way directly for the Civil War!
Dwight D. Eisenhower: In addition to his excited pursuit of anti-LGBT oppression—he instituted a policy of invasive investigations of the sexuality of every federal employee—Eisenhower gleefully pursued coups in Guatemala & Iran. Many were killed in the process, & those particular coups have had horrifying blowback effects we still grapple with today!
Woodrow Wilson: In addition to involving the U.S. in World War I, & helping set the stage for the Nazi horror, Wilson was an enthusiastic racist. He oversaw the active & costly segregation of many government departments, formalized segregation of the military, & celebrated Confederate veterans!
Wow, so many bad Presidents setting bad precedents, in just 249 years!

Thank ye for reading, mortals! & we thank especial those generous mortals who can & do support our works here with coin.
I shall write ye Monday with fresh art & a tale! ‘Til then—be safe, be well, & imagine a life outside the Fort…
Cheers,
