Yuletide Adventure III: Season Without a Santa
“Rudolph, but Not as We Know It”

After traversing endless Polar nights, Sméagyule led me to this icy cavern nestled high in the Emyn Miriain. He claims the “Dark Master” operates from this strange cave, & that here we may find “Holy Nicholas, yes, hollyum, hollyum.” Quirky little fellow, this Sméagyule—but aside from our encounter with the Mark Cuboids, he led me not astray. Perhaps I misjudged him? I had little time to ponder this, for upon entering the lair, I found a startling sight: The skull of Rudolph…the Purple-Nosèd Reindeer?

A Rudolph, clearly, but not of this world. Hung here—as warning? Or perhaps as a welcome skull, to other villains who might seek to aid this “Dark Master?” I shall learn the truth shortly. I now descend the rime-ridden path before me, wand at the ready, with kind Sméagyule following behind…

Surely, nothing ill could befall me with my friend Sméagyule at my back! Surely. SURELY. Find out more in Saturday’s dispatch! Thank ye to all who read these missives, & to the generously kindly mortals who can & do support our works with $5 monthly here in the Scriptorium.

I hope ye shall DECK THE HELLS with us on Friday! ‘Til then—be safe, be well, & be holly-jolly

Cheers,
