A Prayer for Rain

Heat, flame, general misery of the Sun—these afflict many mortals in the Arctic Hemisphere this season. If enough of ye cry the following prayer, while walking widdershins ‘round a salt circle, & while an aero-plane overhead drops silver into the atmosphere, one may bring a profound & much-needed rain!

In the original, powerful Quenya, chant thus:
